One of the reasons I bought a Chevy vehicle is because I live very close to this dealership. They are disorganized (my part sat for weeks and no one called me). I've stopped going to McDermott. The service department seems distracted and put off by my being there. I'm not sure if it's because I drive a bolt, or what but I was not welcome. Beware do not buy from this dealership! Was Working with salesman on purchase of a used car, left the show room to discuss outside in private. Prior to leaving sales man tells my husband “I’m not supposed to say this but someone is coming to look at the xxxxing car at 4 o’clock”. This was the second oil change on my new Chev. Waiting time was too long. More than 1.5 hours. Otherwise, good service. Sal is very friendly and well informed regarding the vehicle.

The service department personnel greeted me as I exited my vehicle. They were ready for my scheduled appointment. I was comfortable in the waiting area. They finished ahead of the estimated time.
Although most feel the cost of using a dealer is higher , the work and accuracy with issues found on a new vehicle can actually be less when others fail to resolve issues including electronic problems in todays vehicles. I always receive excellent care from the service department. They are the reason I have bought 4 cars from McDermott. The car is always serviced correctly and on time.
The service advisors are always courtious and friendly. Like the service mechanics, they know their stuff. They go way above and beyond to help out their customers. When the unexpected has happened, get here as soon as you can is the reply from them. They all have a humorous side to them even Joe Cetta. Been doing business with McDermott 25+ years and 3 chevy's latter. 2 of which are still on the road. Go elsewhere for a new car and for Chevy service.......No an't going to happen
The service department is exceptional. Jessica is the greatest. While my vehicle was in to define an electrical problem, she called me everyday with updates.

My wife's 2011 Equinox was purchased here as "certified" used. There was an overheating issue. She brought it to closest garage which was a Meineke and they informed her it was a broken balance chain. This is a covered GM repair for this type of 4cylinder engine. Not a recall, a "service bulletin".

It frustrates me that every individual who seems to visit this dealership has had a positive experience EXCEPT for me. At first the sales representative was friendly and accommodating, once he realized I was older than I initially appeared. Once the deal had been made I started noticing that there were mistakes in the numbers. The sales tax was calculated wrong, my discount was made a rebate so that it was taxable, and the amount charged for the registration and title was 200 over the amount it was initially said to cost.

I was not surprised to see the negative reviews for McDermott Dealership. This group employs and stands by an unethical group of people. They misrepresnted a vehicle, then lied to cover up for each other and refused to take the vehicle back or reconcile in any sort. When I tried to reason, I was called foul langauge by sales manager. No integrity at all here- avoid going to McDermotts - avoid the dissapointment- avoid surrounding yourself with people who dont have respect for you or your business.

I am a single Mom who purchased a pre-owned 2004 car from McDermott Chevrolet in June of 2006. The Sales guy, Mike, sold it to me with a $1,700.00 extended warranty.

This is a terrible dealership and I would stay far away from it. They bait and switch like it is going out of style. Stay far far away! You will get ripped off here, luckily I spotted the bad deal before signing paperwork. Those that never bought a car before will definitely get taken advantage of.
